Angling Trade Acquires Fly Fishing Trade

Angling Trade magazine has entered into an agreement to acquire Fly Fishing Trade magazine, which will cease to publish. The final issue of Fly Fishing Trade will be published in early August 2007, while the first issue of Anging Trade will debut in early September 2007.

"We understand that we are working in an often turbulent business environment, and we will continue to bring attention to key issues that only a U.S.-based magazine, run by writers and editors who embrace fly fishing as a personal passion, can deliver," said Angling Trade editor-in-chief Kirk Deeter. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.
