Green Steps Program at FlyFishing Retailer

Green Steps was launched at our sister show, Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in 2005, brewed up by a small group of people from the exhibitor and show producer sides of the aisle. The idea was simple: provide a platform for companies to show their 'green' side, and help retailers identify brands that are taking proactive steps (however small) to reduce their environmental footprint.

This would be a low cost/high bang for the buck program that used the show floorplan, website, carpet logos, listings in the directory, seminars and signage to call out these brands. The show itself was also to embrace the green business ethos and take steps to reduce its environmental impact.

We’ve started a revolution, so it seems… Or maybe we were ‘early adopters’ of what’s already happening worldwide with increased concern for sustainability.
